Introduction
Line and neutral (OR Plus and Minus) wires are isolated from the ground in a typical installation. The degree of isolation between the power carrying conductors and earth is measured using Insulation resistance testers.
General Description
IR4053 is IEC61010 certified CATII, III and IV insulation ohmmeter that can measure AC / DC and Solar PV power cables with respect to ground.
PV Resistance Measurement
IR4053 features a PV resistance function without the need for shorting PV strings which may lead to dangerous arc discharges – even while PV plant is generating power.
1000V Dc and 600Vac Voltage Measurement
Apart from insulation testing, IR4053 can measure DC voltages upto 1000Vdc, which are common in PV systems. Output side voltages can also be measured using the same device.
4 Seconds Read Out
IR4053 displays the measured value just 4 seconds after starting measurement. After the first display, the displayed value is updated every second for comfortably carrying out swift measurements
